Workouts 10/1 – 10/7

A new month and a new workout log! Well, Other than the miles I’m logging, I think its going to be a pretty boring log for this week. Everything should be about the same, because that is the goal between now and the half marathon. I’m trying running 3 days in a row, the 30th, 1st and 2nd, so I’ll see how that feels. I’m also planning to up my miles toward the end of the week, for sure get a 4 mile and 5 mile run in.

Saturday, October 1 –
AM: 5 min walk, 2.7 mile run in 27 minutes, 5 min walk
20 min foam roll, yoga and stretch

Afternoon: 4 mile round trip bike ride to Library and back

Sunday, October 2-
AM: 5 mile round trip bike ride to church and back

Monday, October 3 –
AM: 3 mile run, 3 minute walk, 30 minutes total

Tuesday, October 4 –
Noon: weights
*10 burpees
*Single leg ball squats 3×8 reps
*Decline push-ups 3 x 10 reps
*Single leg hamstring curls on ball 3 x 8 reps
*5lb Back Fly on Ball 3 x 10 reps
*10lb Overhead tricep extension 3 x 8 reps
* Tricep dips on bench 3 x 10 reps
*5lb Bicep curls with band 3 x 10 reps
*Crunches on ball 2 x 20 reps

PM: 1.5 mile walk to Subway for dinner and home (3 miles total)

Wednesday, October 5 – REST
I tried to go for a run in the morning but just wasn’t feeling it. My foot was also hurting more than normal so I decided I’d go to the chiropractor after work

Thursday, October 6 –
PM: 5 minute walk, 35 min run, 10 min walk, 5 min run, 5 min walk (4.5 miles total)
10 minute foam roll & stretch

Friday, October 7 –
Noon: 25 minute walk to bank and Wal-greens

Workouts 9/3 – 9/16

Well for the last two weeks I have done almost nothing in terms of workouts. My ankle/shin is still hurting and Thursday I finally bought new shoes, so hopefully I can start running a little again. Unfortunately, my PT friend said that I need to Ice and Rest my leg and not do anything that hurts it, which technically means running is out. I have to train a little for the race so I’m going to run some, try to ice regularly and do strength work-outs to build the muscles up too.

Monday, Sept 5 – Six mile bike ride to Guenther house (which was closed) on the Riverwalk. This included carrying my bike up and down some stairs and a little walking because we were on the old side of the Riverwalk.

Friday, Sept 9 – 45 minute run/walk, walking lunges, 30 pushups, 30 dips, abs, 10 min foam roll

Saturday, Sept 10 – 60 min walk

Sunday, Sept 10 – 30 minute walk, 30 incline push-ups, 30 dips, 10 min foam roll

Monday, Sept 12 – 40 minute walk

Tuesday, Sept 13 – 10 minutes running while trying out new shoes

Wednesday, Sept 14 – 25 minute run/walk, 20 minutes yoga, stretch & foam roll

Thursday, Sept 15 –  30 min Body Sculpt w/Gilad & abs

Friday, Sept 16 – 25 min run/walk ~2.5 miles
