I just made the best smoothie ever! Unfortunately, it was so good, I drank it all before I could take a picture. I’ll post the recipe below and you can let me know if it is the best smoothie you have ever had. Ok, maybe I should rephrase that, the best healthy, homemade smoothie you have ever had.
1 c baby spinach
1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder (I added one regular spoon and a little more, so this is a guess)
1/3 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/3 c frozen blueberries (I just emptied the rest of the bag, it might have been a 1/2 cup?)
1 dole fruit cup of mandarin oranges
1 c ice
1/2-3/4 c of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I really don’t measure anything, just pour until it looks right)
Put everything in a large bullet cup and blend for a minute. Alternate shaking the cup and blending until the it is all blended together. It looked like a chocolate smoothie and tasted amazing! I think the mandarin oranges were the key. Normally I do not like them, but I didn’t have any other fruit to add, so I just dumped them in, hoping they wouldn’t taste too bad. The result was awesome, I just hope I can recreate this in the future.
