So I started this blog a while back, but really didn’t tell anyone, or update it very often. That is all about to change because today I signed up to run in the San Antonio Rock’N’Roll Half Marathon on November 13th and I want to keep track of my workouts/eating/etc on here. Plus it will give me a good reason to blog more often.
I got very nervous as I was registering for the race today and I’m not sure why. I guess part of it is because last year, my goal was just to finish the race and this year I want to beat my time and finish in 2 hours or less. Maybe I was nervous last year when I signed up, and I just don’t remember it. After the race, 13.1 miles didn’t seem like that big of a deal, but in the beginning I wasn’t sure I’d be able to run that far. Each day running is a new challenge because your body isn’t the same everyday. So I’ll have to follow my Grandma Noni’s great advice and do first things first and one thing(or day) at a time.
Today my goal is to run/walk 60 minutes. I’ll let you know tomorrow how that goes.
